Queen Victoria was not the only trend-setter of the time, her husband Prince Albert also had a significant impact on men's jewelry of the period. Despite having been around since the 16th century, Albert chains got their name from the style that Prince Albert used to wear. They featured T-bar used to affix the chain to the button hole at one end, and a swivel hook to attach the watch.
