Vintage hand-carved high relief cameo featuring the profile of the ancient Roman Goddess, Luna. Her name deriving from the Latin lucere, meaning "to shine" and was not only seen as the divine embodiment of the moon but the female counterpart of the sun. The 14k yellow gold frame is hand-engraved with a scroll motif. This cameo can be worn as either a pendant or a brooch.
