Signet rings have been a popular piece of jewelry since the Mesopotamian era (3200 BC), and throughout history have been used to seal letters with the mark of the sender. Although rarely used for that today they continue to be viewed as the mark of a gentleman (or woman!). This delightful piece is circa 1950's.
This 14k rose gold signet ring features a high gallery beautifully detailed with openwork, twisted cable, bead work, and floral designs. The top oval face is high polish and waiting for it's next owners family crest or initials.
