Vintage Rolex Oyster Victory manual wrist watch circa 1942. In the late 1930's Rolex ran an ad campaign titled "Times Flies" featuring renowned pioneering aviators wearing Rolex watches, which was extremely successful and created a huge demand amongst pilots of the era. This particular model - the Rolex Victory - was sold in Canada and was marketed to Canadian soldiers going overseas, many were given to soldiers going off to war as gifts. These watches represent a unique part of the early history of Rolex and are fantastic wearable examples of Canadian horological timepieces.
