A beautiful brushed gold finish of the wings and the play-of-color of the opals accentuate the center 0.62 ct emerald.  The 'tremble' effect gives the semblance of fluttering wings when the piece is in motion. A hand made piece estimated to be circa 1940-1950.

Opals : Forty-two (42) round cabochons 2.7-3.5mm diameter. They are a mix ranging from white opal to fire opal.

Emeralds : Center emerald is an emerald cut with a bright, intense medium green color. The emerald is moderately included weighing 0.62 ct.  The eyes of the butterfly are made of two (2) round cabochon cut emeralds measuring approximately 2.0mm each.
