Hand-painted clay bowl featuring the image of an eagle on the interior circumference. Fully signed 'Klee Wyck' the name given to her by members of the Nuu-chah-nulth First Nation, meaning "Laughing One".
This bowl was on display at the Owens Art Gallery in Sackville, New Brunswick.
Emily Carr (December 13, 1871 - March 2, 1945) painter and writer, has been widely regarded as a major Canadian artist for her works of the western coast of Canada, highly inspired by the Indigenous peoples of the Pacific Northwest.
